Remember the simple rules:- subtract the smallest amount of x’s from both sides first
- you will then get a one-sided equation (with no negative algebra if you have done it correctly) which you can read
- 5x+4 = 4x+5
- x+10 = 5x+6
- 7x-6 = 6x+8
- 16-3x = 3x+4
- 5x+31 = 40-4x
- 5x+12 = 44-3x
- 4-x = 5-2x
- 11-6x = 5-4x
- 13-x = 28-6x
